Food is expensive in Jamaica..
It almost cost as much as in Sweden. But I bought a frozen yougurth yesterday, for 63kr! In Sweden that would not cost more than 30kr.. I choose cherries etc to it... Still that is crazy, since a Jamaican don't even earn half of what I am making...
We have a house now for a month đ. Today we bought plates, forks and a pot etc... In Kingston đ. We live in the parish of Trelawny now. Saw his kids today and gave them Lego, but they where kind of mad, because we have left them with their mom for some days. They told us every day that they didn't want to go back to her...

This country is built for the rich people, because they have good, toll-roads everywhere. And you have to pay for school, doctors and everything. Everyone do not have a job but the majority only earn like 9000 a week.
We ate fastfood today, because we didn't have more time. That was 2800, then we bought juices for like 500 and an egg and cheese sandwich this morning with coffey and juice,
that was 1400. So in one day we spent 4700 on food. So 9000 could only last for 7 days if you buy rice and beans alone... I bought a vegetarian pizza for 1250...
Then the rent for a nice/ok house is 120 000 a week. So the minimum salary is really not enough for anything. The electricity cost like 8000 jmd if you have a fan and a fridge...
So I really don't understand, what the Jamaican government is thinking with? They believe that the prices on the groceries should be so high that only them and their families could eat? If less people buy, the prices will go up. But you don't care about that, since you have a job?
Then you have to buy water because the tap water is full of clorine. 1 gallon/60 liter cost 1700 jmd, that's 116 kr...
